I can hear parts of songs better and I have found a sense of peace in playing the piano.

My musical mentor is Mrs. Sylvia, my piano teacher. Mrs. Sylvia has helped me expand my musical knowledge and understanding. She has shown me a world of theory that brought me to a whole new level of understanding in musical structure. She helped me come over my "stage fright," and has prepared me well for my tests and exams. She has taught me for over 5 years, and then taught my younger siblings. She is the reason I have an interest to accompany choirs and play at my church. I can hear parts of songs better and I have found a sense of peace in playing the piano. She is why I have such a strong love and appreciation for the art of music.
